Though prayer is one of the essentials of a thriving faith, we often feel as if we're talking to ourselves.
Or, worse, we feel like we're talking to no one at all. How can something so vital to the faith be so elusive?
Now, with the clear teaching and artistry of the Augustine Institute's LECTIO series, Dr. Tim Gray masterfully uses
the ancient Church's tradition of lectio divina to show you the simple steps to make prayer an effective effort of
love and intimacy. Prayer: Finding Intimacy with God captures in six episodes the secret to opening our hearts and
minds to Scripture as the means to hear God and respond in conversation, basking in his presence and resolving to
live in and through his love.
Dr. Timothy Gray is a nationally renowned Bible scholar and Catholic speaker. As the President of the Augustine Institute, he has advanced the renewal of Catholic education through graduate studies in Scripture, Theology, and the New Evangelization.
Dr. Gray's guidance of the Augustine Institute has also led to the creation of innovative video programs like the Lectio series of Bible studies, Symbolon: The Catholic Faith Explained, YDisciple, and Beloved. Dr. Gray is the author of Praying Scripture for a Change: An Introduction to Lectio Divina (Ascension Press), Mission of the Messiah (Emmaus Road), The Temple in the Gospel of Mark (Baker Academic), and many other works.
Find help and inspiration from the men and women who transformed the world. There is no better place to look for guidance in the New Evangelization
than the Acts of the Apostles. This chronicle of the Church in action gives us the blueprint for the life and mission of the Church today.
In Evangelization and the Acts of the Apostles, Dr. Mary Healy combines Bible study with Church teaching and practical
wisdom to show you how modern Catholics can effectively lead people to Jesus Christ.
Dr. Mary Healy is a professor of Scripture and an internationally-known author and speaker on topics related to evangelization, the Holy Spirit, and Sacred Scripture. Pope Francis appointed her to the Pontifical Biblical Commission, in which scholars advise the pope on biblical matters. Dr. Healy was also a featured theological advisor and presenter in the Augustine Institute's widely popular video series, Symbolon: The Catholic Faith Explained.
In the first installment of LECTIO: Unveiling Scripture and Tradition, Dr. Tim Gray — a gifted teacher and scholar
from the renowned Augustine Institute — offers an intensive and fascinating course on the life and meaning of St. Peter.
Bringing together biblical stories, historical knowledge, solid Church teaching, and personal insights, Dr. Gray
gives a fresh perspective on the life and work of the man to whom Jesus entrusted his Church.
In these ten stirring lectures, learn what happens when flawed humanity comes up against God made flesh.

In the second release of the LECTIO series, renowned teacher Dr. Brant Pitre guides us through Scripture, history,
and Church teaching to illuminate the wonder and miracle of the Eucharist.
Jesus said, “This is my Body” and “This is my Blood.” Some say they’re merely symbols of remembrance. Others say
they’re really the Body and Blood of Christ, but can’t explain how that’s possible. The Eucharist is the center-point
of the Mass – but why?
The answers are here. With deep insight, Dr. Pitre gives a fresh perspective for understanding the mystery that is the Eucharist.
Dr. Brant Pitre is Professor of Sacred Scripture at Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans, Louisiana. He earned his Ph.D. in Theology from the University of Notre Dame, where he specialized the study of the New Testament and ancient Judaism. He is the author of several articles and the popular books, including Jesus and the Jewish Roots of the Eucharist and Jesus the Bridegroom. Dr. Pitre is an extremely enthusiastic and engaging speaker who lectures regularly across the United States.
Saint Paul exhorts the Christians at Philippi to have the mind of Christ. But to what
exactly is he referring? Join Dr. Tim Gray as he opens up this heartfelt correspondence.
Learn the key to Christian friendship. Learn how Paul is able to rejoice in the midst of
suffering. Learn from the Philippians how to become partners in the Gospel. Discover what
it means to share in the citizenship of Heaven. Glory with Saint Paul as his eloquent hymn
reveals the mind of Christ.
Featuring the insightful biblical teaching of Dr. Tim Gray and the hallmark artistry of
the Augustine Institute, this dynamic video series explores the power and joy of life in
Jesus Christ and the partnership to which we are called in sharing the Gospel—in the early
Church and today.
