What a great resource! I now know how to respond in Christian charity. Marilyn - Minnetonka, MN
As a former Mormon missionary, this is an excellent first step in becoming equipped to defend the Faith and gain a greater appreciation for essential Christian doctrine. Gene - Boise, ID
Very informative on Mormonism; I knew nothing about their beliefs. Made me appreciative of my Catholic Faith. Motivated me to read and discuss my Faith more. Beverly - Sun City Center, FL
Very informative and well presented. Made me think of the strength of my faith and what I need to improve.
Yolanda - Jacksonville, NC
I listen to this CD frequently and get something out of it each time. I thought Thomas Smith had also written a book but I cannot find it anywhere. Also, I thought this was a two-part talk but could only find this CD. Would like to hear more from him. Pamela - Paulden, AZ
I love the actual passages he included, very specific, and his real life story. Juliana - TX
This CD taught me so much about how other religions manipulate the bible in order to trick people into conversion, or at least plant a seed of doubt about their faith in the Catholic Church. I think it also gave me some good tools to use the next time I am approached. Melissa - Lowell, IN
My idea of evangelism has changed. I no longer want to count the numbers who join the Church. My heart cries for those souls who have been misdirected. I want them to have a real understanding of God's love and compassion for each and every one. I want them to understand the joy of faith celebration the Church offers. Mary - Kansas City, MO
I really enjoyed Thomas Smith's voice; he talks so clearly and with so much love. Maricelia - Palmdale, CA
Fascinating first-hand account of a personal transformation from a very populous cult to the truth of the Catholic and Apostolic Church. Mr. Smith comes across as genuine and charitable, signs of a true believer. And I really enjoyed his emphasis on the fact that any seeker of the truth will ultimately be led to the Catholic Church, which contains the fullness of the truth. Thomas - Eagle River, AK
Thomas Smith's explanation of how he moved from being an elder in the LDS church to being a Protestant and finally home to the Catholic Church was very thought-provoking. He was able to explain very clearly what his thought processes were like as he did so. I enjoyed this CD because I was a convert to Catholicism as a college student, took side trips to become a Jehovah's Witness, and then a Mormon. I was never at peace with myself and my spirituality until I returned home to the Catholic Church. Thomas Smith's revelation of his mission experiences in Alabama reminded me of my childhood in Alabama and then in Texas. I will keep this CD and encourage my family to listen to it, too.
Thank you very much! Linda - Puyallup, WA
I always love the way former Non-Catholics avoid disparaging their former faiths, but still embrace our Catholic Truths. Ji - Cary, NC
This is the most informative and easy-to-understand lesson on the differences in the religions I have heard. I understand there are two more CDs in this set - which I intend to acquire. Living in Utah, this set will be an invaluable tool to my family and friends. Thank you!
Edward - Pleasant View, UT
Since I knew virtually nothing about the Mormon faith, this was an eye-opening talk. Having visited Salt Lake City during the Christmas season, I really thought that Mormans were Christians. Now I know that although they are wonderful people, they are not Christians in the true sense of the word. Thank you for this great talk. Lynne - Knoxville, TN
I had minimal information about the Mormon faith and it helped me to understand the Catholic Faith better. I am a returning Catholic and although not Mormon, I have attended other Christian churches. Peggy - Oregon City, OR
This was very enlightening about, and respectful of, Mormon beliefs. Anonymous
I got chills listening to Thomas Smith relate how, as a young man of the Mormon faith, he was drawn to the Catholic Cathedral in Salt Lake City, and that many other Mormons experience this same pull. Mr. Smith presents astonishing insight into the Mormon faith. His message is powerful and compassionate, and his journey from the Mormon faith through Protestantism to Catholicism testifies to the great power of the Holy Spirit. C - VA
I enjoyed learning more about Mormons and I am always inspired by converts and their stories. Being a Catholic all my life, the power of the conversion is so powerful and it renews my faith. Joanne - Cincinnati, OH
I have always had an attraction to Mormonism. This talk has shown me that being a Catholic is the only way to go. It brought a tear to my eye, a smile to my face and a greater appreciation that I am Catholic. Colin - Pickering, ON
I am a member of 'The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.I respect his reasoning and oppinion. It would be interesting to know all of his reasoning for leaving the church. Our church also has history and true stories about Catholic members leaving there faith and become members of our faith because of the spirit testifying of its truthness, so this is nothing new to me.I am amaze at how people would say that we are not CHRISTIAN PEOPLE.What is Christian? We believe, know in God the Father, and in His Son Jesus Christ and in the Holy Ghost. We know Jesus is the christ and that he died for our transgression, we believe the Bible as far as it is translated correctly and the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.We believe in the importance of family, between a Father and Mother raise a family in a loving home, giving generously and serving the Poor and the Needy, serving the communities in time of need all over the world. We have endure many things, and will endure ALL things. We seek after things that are virtuous, lovely, good report or praiseworthy. If this is not CHRISTIAN life style? then somebody pleeeeese tell me what CHRISTIAN is? People leave from one faith to another because of personal reason, nothing new, but it seem news to people because of the word MORMON. Henilieta - Oahu, HI
Thomas Smith telling us that we need to evangelize the Mormons Linda - Chandler, AZ
