I loved how Matt Maher incorporated his music into his talk. Being a fan of his music, his common person way that the Holy Spirit influenced him was pretty powerful. After I listened to his talk, I actually listened to all of Saints and Sinners for the first time instead of just singles. It made his music more powerful as well. This is my favorite talk that I have heard in over my over 3 years of listening since it is relatable to people and there is a hook for it. REACHING OUT. WHAT AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE. I've loved listening to Maher's music for awhile. Even before my recent commitment to re-enter the Catholic faith. My best friend, who is a Protestant, is the reason why I realized I could have a personal relationship with Jesus. My shame kept my heart locked up, but God worked through her so that I could see that I needed to break out of my darkness.
